Free Electricity - It's Closer Than You Think
Modern society has become addicted to fossil fuels. We use oil to run our cars, natural gas to heat our homes, and coal to generate electricity. The problem with fossil fuels is that they are a limited resource. They will eventually run out. Before that happens, however, energy prices will skyrocket, as fossil fuels become more scare and supply and demand kicks in. As fossil fuel energy becomes more expensive, average people are increasingly exploring the various renewable, free power technologies that have recently become more economically viable. Hydroelectric and Geothermal Power
These two renewable free power technologies are not well suited for do-it-yourself free electricity generation. Hydroelectric power uses running water to generate electricity. Geothermal power uses the warmth of the earth to heat water, which is then pumped throughout a radiator system to heat homes. Although they will eventually pay for themselves, the technology lies beyond the average homeowner to build themselves.
Solar Power
Solar cells convert light into free electricity. This technology lies well within the financial and technological ability of the average homeowner to build. The only really advanced technology involved is the solar cells, which have recently dropped dramatically in price. The average person can purchase online a 36-square inch solar cell for as little as six dollars. All that is required to generate free electricity is to wire several solar cells together, mount them in a frame to make a solar panel, and connecting the solar panel to the electrical network in their home.
Wind Power
This is another free power technology within the grasp of homeowners. An electrical turbine generates electricity by spinning a iron rotor wrapped in copper wire inside an electrical field. Municipal power plants burn coal to boil water into steam, which then turns the rotor of the turbine. A wind turbine simply replaces the coal-fired steam turbine with a windmill to turn the rotor and generate free power. Small wind turbines can be built relatively cheaply by anyone with the proper tools and trade skills, and can be used to reduce their home power bill.
Magnetic Power
Magnetic power generators are more technically complicated than solar panels or wind turbines. They are still, however, with the financial and technical reach of a garage handyman to build and operate. Magnetic power generators use the push-and-pull force produced by magnets of opposite polarity to spin the rotor of an electrical turbine, generating free electricity. Magnetic power generators are very versatile. They are small, can operate indoors or outdoors even in extreme heat or extreme cold, and require little maintenance.
Building one (or better yet, several) of these renewable free power technologies in your home can reduce your power bill dramatically. Directions, plans, and blueprints for building solar, wind, and magnetic generator can be bought online relatively cheaply. All it requires is a small financial investment and a few weeks of work in your basement or garage workshop. What are you waiting for?
